Jordanian teams win nine awards in Warrior Competition
The fifth Warrior Competition concluded on Thursday, with the Jordanian teams winning nine awards.
Organized by the Jordan Armed Forces and the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre (KASOTC), the four-day international competition, included 35 teams from 18 Arab and foreign countries.
This competition was tailored to test the endurance, perseverance, team work, warrior fighting spirit and physical ability of the teams, according to KASOTC.
The contest attracted special operations and law enforcement units from around the world to test their counter-terrorism operations, marksmanship and physical abilities, along with other special operations training.
The Chinese teams showed the best performance, with both Chinese Peoples' Armed Forces teams winning first and second places in the overall results, according to a KASOTC statement issued on Sunday.
Foreign teams commended the competition.
The Canadian Special Operations Regiment team leader said the competition was "fun" with the team winning five awards and third place in the overall results.
The US International Defence Systems team leader, after winning first place in hostage rescue, told The Jordan Times that the competition was an absolute first-class operation and the most professional they have ever participated in.
All the events were hosted at KASOTC premises. The centre is equipped with a number of combat, training, and logistical ranges.

Wouldn't it be neat if the CF ran competitions like this within the CF?
